Chester Jordison

A teenage boy who suffered horrific abuse at the hands of his father, and discovers that he is the one remaining Nephilim- that is, half-human, half-angel.
Known as Chaz for short, he is quiet and very shy, yet harbours a love for Gothic fashion and metal/industrial/old school Goth music (his favourite band being Nine Inch Nails.) He is in love with a girl named Candice at the beginning of the story, but he soon begins to fall for the beautiful Elimiel.
His best friends are Samuel White and Rose Applewood.
Samuel White
Age: 17 years

Chaz's best friend, Sam is a 'class clown' kind of guy, but he he offers Chaz invaluable advice when it is needed. He isn't afraid to speak his mind to anyone, and this can sometimes lead to him coming across as insensitive; but he always tries to do the right thing. Unlike Chaz, he's more into thrash metal like Metallica and Pantera, rather than industrial music. He hates Candice, too...
Candice Ashton
Age: 16 years
Race: Human
Blood Type: A
Candice is Chaz's girlfriend at the start of the story. The pair have a tempestuous relationship at best- she constantly cheats and basically treats Chaz like crap, which is why Sam hates her; everyone else just tolerates her for Chaz's sake. She is selfish, yet she can be nice at times... at times. And she starts to develop a severe dislike for Elimiel...
Rose Applewood
Age: 15 years
Race: Human **Psychic- Witch**
Blood Type: O
Rose is a good friend of Chaz and Sam's, whose skills at divination come in very handy later on in the story. She's in the year below them at school. She is sweet and kind, and never has a bad word to say about anyone, even Candice- she simply believes in being nice to everybody. She's into Harajuku fashion and J-Rock. She is also a Wiccan Witch, a fact that only her closest friends and family know. She ends up getting on well with Elimiel, though Morgana scares her a bit!
Elimiel Azrael
Age: roughly 165 years
Race: Angel [Fallen]
Blood Type: A
The beautiful [adopted] daughter of Azrael, the Angel of Death. She feel from Heaven at a very young age, and was taken in by Azrael and Ezekiel- hence, she took Azrael's name as her surname, in the traditional angelic manner. Her 'father' aids Chester when he is first set upon by angels of Heaven.
She is best friends with the succubus-born Morgana le Faye.
Elimiel and Chester meet on Chester's first visit to Azrael's realm, shortly after the attack. Elimiel is a lot like Chester- quiet, reserved, and with a dark past. She empathises with Chester strongly, and is intrigued by his strange mode of being... or rather, is she attracted to it?..
Morgana le Faye
Age: roughly 175 years
Race: Demon **Archfiend/Succubus Mix**
Blood Type: AB
Morgana is Elimiel's best friend, whose father was killed during the Demonic Revolution in Infernus. This is thought to be due to his marrying a Succubus, which is looked down on in demonic high society. Her remaining family (her mother Helena and brother Mordred)managed to escape to Azrael's realm. Morgana is not ashamed of her bloodline, nor of the sexual power that comes with it, and for this reason many think she is a slut; yet she always treats people with respect, unlike many others of her lineage. She is a bit bossy and quite rough, with a thick skin, but she has a heart of gold underneath it all.
Azrael
Age: roughly 7000 years
Race: Angel [Fallen] **Questionable**
Blood Type: O
Azrael is nicknamed the Angel of Death/the Reaper of Souls, and in the East, the greatest of all Shinigami... amongst other things. He was one of the first angels to come into existence, as leader of the Grigori (a.k.a. 'The Watchers').
After his men chose human wives, Azrael was put to death, only to be brought back by Frucissiere, Demon of Rebirth.
His past is long, complex, and very, very bloody, especially concerning his relationship with Ezekiel, which was marred with much violence from Angels of Heaven, who disapproved of their homosexual partnership and the age gap between the pair.
Now Azrael possessses the power to sever the souls of the dying from their bodies, ferrying them to their respective afterlife.
Yet despite his terrifying reputation, he is a warm, very loving character towards Ezekiel and Elimiel, as well as to those who take shelter in his realm.
Ezekiel
Age: roughly 3500 years
Race: Angel [Fallen]
Blood Type: A
Ezekiel is Azrael's partner. He is somewhat younger than the latter, yet he is mature and educated, with brilliant medical talent (having been a Healer in his former post in Heaven- he fell owing to his homosexuality).
He is also a competent fighter, though he much prefers a non-confrontational approach to things.
Ezekiel also excels at giving comfort and listening to the problems of others. This makes him a perfect 'mother' for Elimiel.
He is amiable, peaceful, yet youthful and energetic.
